A prayer for rain

Dark clouds approach low
With flirtatious hints of soothing rain
And downgusting breaths humid
Scattering dust ahead
From parched fields
Longing for her liquid touch.
Cicadas rattle a 17 year cacophony
Which seems like the last time it rained.
