"I'm the best thing you ever had", ever heard that before? Is that some type of self-affirmation or an attempt to guilt someone? Yes, I have heard that as probably most other people who have ever been in a relationship that lasted more than a few months. It's said, usually spitefully, at the end when people go their separate ways. Topped with a serving of bitterness and garnished with freshly chopped guilt, it's the expected dish at the conclusion of almost every relationship and I just wonder, why?
Ah the silly games people play, the need to control and shame. No thanks, not today.
